Suzanne E. Spaulding serves as Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate at the Department of Homeland Security. Spaulding has spent nearly 25 years working on national security issues for both Republican and Democratic Administrations and on both sides of the aisle in Congress. She held leadership positions in the House and Senate intelligence committees and spent six years at the Central Intelligence Agency. As an attorney in private practice, she also served as Security Counsel for the Business Roundtable and worked with trade associations and other critical infrastructure companies on security related issues. Ms. Spaulding earned both her law degree and undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia.
