Erin English

Senior Security Strategist, Trustworthy Computing, Microsoft

Erin English is a senior strategist for Cybersecurity Public Policy with Microsoft’s Global Security Strategy and Diplomacy team. In this position, Erin is responsible for enabling use of cloud computing by regulated industries and providing strategic direction for Microsoft’s engagement with cybersecurity policy forums. He also helps drive development of Microsoft’s cybersecurity public policy initiatives on cyber risk, blockchain technology and cyber norms.
 
Prior to joining Microsoft, Erin served as a senior analyst in the Treasury Department’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, and was one of the Department’s Financial Attaches in South Asia during and after the Global Financial Crisis.
 
Erin received is B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and his MALD from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. He lives in the Puget Sound area with his wife and two young children.
